The Fostering Network  forecast that in 2016 1,300 foster carers are needed in the North West  to care for the growing number of fostered children in the region.

There are children of all ages looking for a foster family. You can decide what age group you’d like to care for.

Cheshire West and Chester Council’s fostering teams have been rated as good by Ofsted, so you can be sure that the support we offer is second to none.

500_fourFact #4 – We pay our foster carers and the emotional reward is off the scale

We value the professional caring skills of our foster carers and reward them with a weekly payment (fee) in recognition of their skills. The sense of personal satisfaction from foster care is much greater. Being a foster carer brings a huge sense of satisfaction and self worth.

500_fiveFact #5 – We don’t make a profit from fostering

As a public service, the borough council don’t make a profit from foster care. Our full focus is on finding the right carer for the right child.
